Alice's Restaurant

As most riders in Central California know the best spot to drool over the latest and greatest is the parking lot across from Alice's restaurant. During the week it serves as a non-descript parking lot, but come the weekend motorcycles are three and four deep and the air is thick with the sound of rumbling exhaust.

Located at the top of "The Hill" at the intersection of Highway 35 and Highway 84 in the San Mateo mountains, Alice's is the prime gathering place in the Bay Area for all types of riders. As a destination or point of departure Alice's is located smack in the middle of some picturesque roadways, such as Skyline, Highway 84, Highway 9, Pescadero, Kings Mountain, Pagemill, Tunitas Creek and the list goes on.

Amidst the crowd of Harleys, Ducatis, Triumphs and japanese bikes you will also see the occassional Vincent Black Shadow, Indian, Royal Enfield, Norton Commando, MV Agusta F4, Bimota and a flurry of other rare and exotic bikes. The crowd is friendly and always glad to swap stories and talk about motorcycles. Police are highly visible, more so during the spring and summer months, so avoid burn outs, wheelies and speeding within a couple miles of Alice's. They can catch you from above as well, so keep an eye out for planes and helicopters.

Any motorcycle enthusiast is sure to find Alice's a wonderful spot to grab a bite to eat and meet other like-minded riders. If anyone ever says meet you on "The Hill", now you know where they're talking about.
