| There are a range of different kinds - from
leather to hard plastic and even titanium ones (illegal in racing) if you
just wanna make showers of sparks. Here's a few that have stood out in my
mind: |

Frey - Daytona Cermaic Sliders These are freakin' awesome! They're normal black plastic pucks with 4 ceramic inserts and they last FOREVER! If you're someone like me that goes through a normal set of pucks per weekend there's really no other choice. At $120 they're a little pricey but it's worth it. The velcro is also amazing. In fact, you may need a crow bar to get 'em off again. Helimot European is the only company I know of that carries them. |

Intuitive I used to use Intuitive Ivrie's sliders. They were cheap (thanks to my LP sponsorship), lasted a long time and the velcro holds which is basically my criteria for a good knee slider. |

A&G I tried the A&G Leather sliders for awhile and they're pretty neat. They're are hand made by Jeff Lee of San Francisco, last a long time, are reasonably priced and they smoke when you got 'em hot! I found the feel a little distracting at first because it felt like I was draggin' my leathers (bad) instead of the puck (good) but, I got over it. :) I never really trusted the velcro but other riders don't seem to have any problems with it and it wasn't anything that a little duck tape wouldn't fix. |

Alpinestars These were alot of fun! The velcro was decent, they lasted a long time and they made alot of noise. Really, people would come up to me in the pits and ask about the horrible scraping noise I was making when I passed 'em. I had the "hard compound" and paid about $50 for 'em.
