Rob Mesa was there, but I think he was the only other AFM-er. After I got out of the ER, I went back to the track (to get some clothes!), and was able to talk to one of the ESPN film crew. He said that he didn't get my crash, but he was able to spin the camera around in time to get a bike cloud of dust and see my bike shoot straight up from the center of it. The bike launched skyward, nose first, did one twist, and come back to earth. With my cat like reflexes, I dove to save it and cushioned it's fall with my head. Concussions, boy aren't they silly! I was laying there taking a nap, and heard... hmm... Motorcycles. Then I hear the words that would bring any rider to conciousness, "We're going to have to cut off his leathers". I opened my eyes, sat up, reassured them I was fine, and began stripping. I promptly passed out after getting neked. And then... I was laying there taking a nap, and heard... hmm... Motorcycles. Then I heard people crying, and lots of fuss. Boy my arm hurts. Must have slept on it wrong. Motorcycles? Maybe I should open my eyes and take a look. Uh-oh, lots of faces looking down on me. Where was I drinking last night? Can someone shut that crying lady up (my unrecognized girlfriend). Hey look, those people look like EMT's. I'm really tired. I shouldn't have worked so late on the bike last night. I wonder how it'll run for the race. The race. THE RACE! MOTORCYCLES! EMT's! Shit, I crashed. Lady in blue: "Do you know where you are?" Me: "Yeah, I'm in Colorado' Lady in blue: "What day is it?" Quick mental calculation.. I don't remember racing AHRMA, and they race on Saturday, so this isn't MRA... Me: "Saturday?" Lady in blue: "How're you feeling" Me: "I have a couple broken ribs in my back, my hip is really bruised, and I think my shoulder is dislocated" Lady in blue: "We'll check you out" >...boy am I tired... I was laying there taking a nap and I hear a lady laughing. Really laughing. Gut Laughing, and I realize I had been talking in my sleep. I hope it wasn't about farm animals. Hmmm, I'm moving.
